Foursquare Launches New App for Businesses
Foursquare’s new app “Foursquare for Business” will open a new chapter in the trend of SoLoMo(social-local-mobile) marketing. In an effort to continue their efforts in monetizing, Foursquare launched this free app in order to help business owners manage their promotions and view analytics.
The app will enable business owners to do a number of different tasks. These include sharing photo updates, posting updates to Facebook & Twitter, viewing recent check-ins, drive traffic to your store, and learn more details about your most frequent and loyal customers. The app will also allow business owners to manage multiple locations.
So what does this mean for the future of social media marketing?
Most likely nothing significant. However, with some creative thinking business owners can drive some new traffic to their business. They can also reward their most loyal customers for being such brand advocates. This isn’t the be-all end-all solution, but just another element any business owner can add to their integrated marketing efforts.
Foursquare also has a support page for any further question.
